Competition forces us to re-evaluate why we do things the way we do, train harder, and get better at making coffee.

At 3FE we have a rich history in competition. It was through competition that 3FE was born and it still plays an important role in our development today. Competition forces us to re-evaluate why we do things the way we do, train harder, and get better at making coffee. 

The idea is to give a barista 15 mins to present coffees of their choice to a panel of judges in front of a live audience and to score them on everything from coffee quality to workflow to presentation skills and everything in between. We've also managed to pick up a few food industry awards along the way and a huge part of what we do is focused on changing the perception of coffee in the catering industry. We see coffee as being every bit as diverse and interesting as wine, whiskey, and beer, so these accolades are extra special to us.
